Is it weird that I'm one of those people who actually manages to keep (most of) my New Year's resolutions? I'm pretty sure it's just because I'm a high-strung perfectionist. Whatever the case is, I thought I'd share some today!
Also, I tend to consider my resolutions to be more like goals. There IS a difference between the two. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but it exists, haha! Anyway...here goes nothing.
1. Write more ~ because writing stories used to be my life and I haven't made time for it lately like I should.
2. Keep up a journal ~ because I used to write everyday and now it's more like once or twice a week.
3. Stay healthy ~ because last year I finally started exercising regularly and eating less junk food, and I want to keep that up.
4. Read 100 books ~ because I'll be crazy busy with college but I need to keep time for one of the first and foremost loves of my life: reading. <3
5. Take up a sport (e.g., tennis) ~ because I've never been a sports person and now that I'm not taking dance classes anymore, I want to try something new.
6. Have better posture ~ because even though this may seem small or silly, it's important and something that I should probably remember when I'm hunched over in front of my laptop...
7. Go on several hikes ~ because I'm not an outdoorsy person but I do enjoy hikes from time to time and want to go on some with the family this spring!
8. Learn to draw ~ because I used to be pretty good at drawing as a kid and I should revisit that hobby.
9. Be more positive ~ because I tend to be very anxious and pessimistic and I need to make a conscious choice to have a good attitude.
10. Trust that God is in control ~ because my life is going to change a lot this year and I need to put my faith in God's plan for me!
